Rally comes to us all the way from Wisconsin.  She's our first fox-red pup we've had a the kennel and if they're all like her, we'll own more!  This fireball is already showing us that she likes to work.  She is proving in her training how smart and bird crazy she is!!!  She is a marking machine and a team player on her blinds.  While a Flatlander Kennel's Rally  picked up her Hunting Retriever (HR) title and two finished passes at just over a year old.  Now home and two years old with  Russ handling she earned her Hunting Retriever Champion (HRCH) title.  We will now move on to chasing orange ribbons in AKC master tests and getting her Master Hunt (MH) title.  This little dog has a great start on being the best dog we have ever had!!

All we can say is wow!!  Sway is the perfect name for this little girl.  She hasn't stopped moving since we got her and that's exactly the kind of dog we like.  She isn't afraid of anything and her prey drive is through the roof.  She is out of two great producers that aren't your every day chocolate dogs you see in a lot of pedigrees.  Her sire is 3xGRHRCH Westlake's Straight from the Barrel MH MNR "Barley" and  GRHRCH Islay's Smoky Wee Dram MH MNH "Islay".  Sway is now back at the kennel and ready to be Russ's main waterfowl dog this winter.  She will also give the upland field a go and see how she likes that.  We have no doubt she will excel at what ever we ask here to do.

​Gypsy is the first pup we have kept from one of our breeding's!  If us keeping a pup isn't a testament to how proud of our litters we are producing, I don't know what is.  Gypsy is out of our HRCH Tipsy MH female and sired by GRHRCH Diesel MH MNR.  Go is not a problem in this pup.  She is so much like her mom in every way.  Business when she's in the field and calm and a pleasure to be around when at home around the family.  She truly has the off switch you always hear about.  This black tri-factored female got a great start  training at Flatlander Kennels where she started her Hunt Test career passing every test she's been in going 5 for 5 and getting her Hunting Retriever (HR) title.  She came home with 1 finished pass and Russ handled her to the other 3 she need towards her Hunting Retriever Champion (HRCH)n title.  She is an excellent marking dog, blinds keep getting better and proving to be exactly what we are trying to do with our breeding's!  We have very high hopes for this girl and can't wait to chase some orange ribbons!

Mercy is another Tipsy pup that we kept out of our Flash x Tipsy litter. Her sire 7xGRHRCH Flash MH MNH HOF QA2 is Chris Jobman's personal dog. Russ has had the pleasure of being around him and watched him pick up a lot of ducks hunting the North Platte River.  Plus he's just a cool dog! To say Flash is throwing some nice pups is a huge understatement and knew he was a dog we wanted to breed to.  After a good head start with Russ, Mercy is now at Flatlander Kennels.  She breezed through her obedience, is showing a willingness to please, picking up new things quickly and  is absolutely loving big girl marks with ducks.  We love our Tipsy pups here and Mercy, like her half sister Gypsy and all their litter mates , are proving why!

Rev is a dark chocolate female that joined Kindig Kennels in March 2019 and has already stolen our hearts.  With a great start put on her by Flatlander Kennels, Russ handled her to her Hunting Retriever title (HR).  She will always be remembered as the first dog Russ put a title on. She is sired by GRHRCH Revitt Up's Power Surge MH MNR of Lincoln Creek Labs. Her dam is out of  HRCH Gator Points Bayou Chopper SH. She has had 2 litters and is producing athletic, smart and beautiful pups.  She is a fun little dog that has never met a stranger or a person that did a tummy rub wrong.  Like all of our litters, we wouldn't doing a breeding that we wouldn't be proud to keep a puppy from.

Luna joins us after spending the last two seasons as a guide dog in South Dakota.  Luna picked up over 150 roosters last year alone.  She has had one litter of twelve pups and was a great mother for that many in her first litter.  We are excited to add this tri-factored female to our breeding program, after the upland season of course.  Luna is currently running APLA and has her Certified Pointing Retriever title (CPR).   Luna is the total package looks, drive, speed, point and athleticism.   She loves to train and is very intelligent. This dog is a joy to watch work the upland! She has a nose that can pick up scent from a long ways off. When she hits that scent she locks up super tight for a picture perfect point.

Tipsy is a tank of a female with a ton of go and everything we look for in a dog!   She is the dog that opened our eyes to the Hunt Test world and the female that we have kept three pups out of, to grow our breeding program.  Tipsy was trained at Flatlander Kennels where she earned her HRCH Title and Master Hunt Title. Tipsy has a very impressive pedigree!!  She is sired by the great Esprit's Out of the Woods QAA who has sired 109 titled dogs including 16 FC/AFC, 3 FC, 5 AFC, 4 QA2, 10 QAA 4 GRHRCH, 35 MH and 13 HRCH according to Hunting lab pedigree.  One of those FC/AFC titles being Tipsy's litter mate.

Hope is a beautiful  female sired by  GRHRCH SRSACC SRSAC Spring Rivers Yankee Captain MNH MH QAA “Jeter” the 2018 Chocolate Lab of the year and her dam is an HR/SH grand sired by GRHRCH Gator PT's Magnum Gentle Ben MH QAA.  She is rock solid on obedience and steadiness at the line. She has an excellent work ethic and extreme retrieving desire. She just keeps getting better!  She is hands down the fastest most athletic retriever we have ever had in our Kennel!  Hope has had 3 litters now and is throwing  some beautiful dark chocolate pups that are really turning out to be nice dogs.

While Shandy has retried form our breeding program she has not retired from hunting.  She will be looking for birds for Russ for a long time.

Shandy came to us as a started 2 year old dog from a South Dakota hunting preserve.  While she was there she saw hundreds of birds.  Not only has she seen hundreds of birds, she is a pointing lab.  She is our first pointing lab at the Kennel and needless to say she is Russ's go to dog when it comes to upland birds.

 Rizzo had our first litter for us and we have been hooked ever since.  She had her 3rd and final litter in early 2020 and has produced 28 pups for us.  We decided that she deserved a home where she could be spoiled and be an only dog getting all the attention that she loves and feels she deserves.  She is loving her new home.  The best part is we get to see her a lot still and she comes to stay with us any time her new family leaves town.
